Project to Complete - Sew a Full Length Lined and Hooded Cloak

In this class we will learn how to use a Simplicity pattern 5709 to make a floor length lined and hooded cloak.

Sewing Level - Intermediate (able to sew a mostly strait line and basic understanding of using a sewing machine) using a pattern is helpful but not necessary for this class

Required Materials to Bring - A Machine is included if needed and the materials list will be emailed to you, If you would like to purchase the Materials Kit to pick up at class please click here

Optional items to bring -

  • folder or binder for handouts

  • notebook (loose leaf paper is provided as well as pens or pencils)

 

In this class, you will be able to make your own Simple Kids Dress.

 

In this class I will cover:

  • Picking a pattern size

  • Optional

    • Adding Snaps

    • Adding a Buttoned Closure

    • Adding a tie Closure

    • Adding a Trim

  • Laying out and aligning your pattern pieces
